| Thallus pale fawn, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata black, scattered, straight, curved or sinuous, often branched, 1–3 (–4) mm long, 0.10–0.15 mm wide, semi-immersed, with a thin thalline margin; lips opening. Proper exciple laterally carbonised, sometimes almost completely carbonised. Hymenium 75–100 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly uniseriate, transversely 8–10-locular, 25–32 × 6–8 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Protocetraric acid. |
